This Privacy Policy explains what information Sasa Purerise Collective (“we”, “the Platform”) collects when you use the website, why we collect it, and how it is stored and shared.

1. Information we collect

  • Account details — name, email address, phone number and password (stored only as a salted hash).
  • Delivery location — county, address and optionally GPS coordinates you save on your account or enter at checkout.
  • Order information — items ordered, delivery address and phone, tracking code, delivery vehicle and fulfilment status.
  • Supplier information — business name, payout destination (M-Pesa number, till, paybill or bank details), depot locations and catalogue listings.
  • Technical data — session cookies, CSRF tokens and cookie-consent preferences needed for the site to function.

2. How we use it

  • To take, fulfil and track your orders, and to hold payment in escrow until delivery is confirmed.
  • To calculate delivery fees from your county or coordinates.
  • To notify you about order events by email or SMS.
  • To pay suppliers their share of released escrow.
  • To resolve disputes, prevent fraud and keep the marketplace safe.

3. Payments

Card and mobile-money payments are processed by Paystack. We never see or store your card number or M-Pesa PIN. Paystack’s processing is governed by their own privacy policy.

4. Who we share it with

  • Suppliers fulfilling your order — they receive the delivery address and phone needed to deliver, nothing more.
  • Drivers — delivery address and contact details for the orders they carry.
  • Paystack — payment details needed to charge you and to settle supplier payouts.
  • Legal requirement — where Kenyan law requires disclosure.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for your login session and security, plus optional preference, analytics and marketing cookies. You can change your choices at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.

6. Keeping and deleting your data

  • You may delete your account from your account page. Deletion is blocked while money is in escrow or goods are in transit.
  • Order records are kept for financial reconciliation — they retain the delivery name, phone and address snapshot used at the time.
  • We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.

7. Your rights

You can view and correct your details on the account page, download nothing but what we show you there, and ask us to correct or remove inaccurate information by contacting us.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The version number above is updated whenever it changes; continuing to use the Platform after a change means you accept the new version.
